She was the daughter of Alice J. and Kenneth R. Hall.
She was preceded in death by her sister Betty Ross Hall Land.
She leaves behind Suzanne Land Larkin (Jon), niece, Catherine Land Waters (Robert), niece and John H. Land, Jr., nephew as well as great nieces Catherine, India, Samantha and Caroline, a great nephew, Jordan, great, great nephews Jacob and Ozzie, a great, great niece, Penelope, and first cousins Ida Rhodes and Douglas Hall.
Jane’s father was an officer in the Navy so Jane’s childhood was spent on Navy bases beginning in Honolulu, Hawaii, Guam, San Diego, CA.. New Orleans, LA., Norfolk, VA. and lastly Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. When the United States entered WWII after Pearl Harbor and Jane’s father was called to serve in the war, the family moved to Apopka, FL. where Jane’s grandparent’s, Ida and Deleon Hall, lived.
Jane graduated from Apopka Memorial High School in 1946. After High School Jane attended Mary Washington College in Virginia and later received her
Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology from Catherine Spalding College in Louisville, KY in 1968 and earned her Master Degree in Science from the University of Tennessee Memphis in 1971.
Jane worked at Baptist Hospital, Memphis managing the Blood Bank. She retired from Baptist and continued to work in the Health Care industry with a private research lab until her retirement to Winter Park, FL. in 2002.
Jane loved to travel taking trips yearly to destinations all over the world – Eastern and Western Europe, Asia, Australia and throughout the United States.
Jane also loved giving dinner and cocktail parties, going to the theatre, ballet, museums and sporting events. She enjoyed donating her time at the Rollins Museum in Winter Park and playing cards with friends! She was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church in Winter Park, FL.
A graveside service will be held at the Edgewood/Greenwood cemetery in Apopka, Florida on April 25, 2023 at 11:00AM.
