A Chipotle location in Central Florida was temporarily closed after a failed health inspection uncovered roaches.
The restaurant, which is located at 2201 E Semoran Boulevard in Apopka, was forced to close its doors on Tuesday, April 18, after failing a health inspection conducted by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation.
During the visit, the inspector cited at least six violations, including two considered high priority. The inspection report cites that roach activity was present, as evidenced by two live roaches found on a wall in the kitchen, as well as one live roach under a hand sink.
Additionally, the restaurant’s rice was not being held at the appropriate temperature of 135 degrees Fahrenheit.
The violations were corrected and the business was permitted to reopen on Wednesday, April 19, after no violations remained during a follow-up inspection.
