John Russell Martin, 92 of Saint Cloud, Florida passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 23, 2023. He was born in Madisonville, Ohio the son of Herbert and Ethel Martin. John moved to Saint Cloud, Florida, approximately 50 years ago from Hialeah, Florida.
He was retired and the former owner and operator of Florida Signs. John was a member of the Optimist Club in Hialeah, Florida, he donated the Goal Posts for Saint Cloud High School. He was a Christian by faith and was a Veteran of the United States Army serving his country with honor and distinction during the Korean Conflict.
John is survived by his son Jamie Martin and his wife Teri of Meridian, Idaho; his daughter: Kristi Lambert of Saint Cloud, Florida; his 9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. John was preceded in death by his loving wife, Velma in 1980, his daughter Ronda Wright in 2014; his 7 brothers and sisters and his parents.
The family will receive friends on Friday, April 28, 2023 from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon at Conrad & Thompson Funeral Home. A Service to Celebrate the Life of John Russell Martin will follow the visitation at 12:00 Noon in the Roger C. Thompson Memorial Chapel at Conrad & Thompson Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Kissimmee, Florida, where he will be accorded Military Honors by the Osceola County Veterans Council.
