Two local toll plazas going cashless

Two more toll plazas in the local area are going completely cashless.

Osceola Parkway will no longer accept cash for tolls at Shingle Creek Plaza and the Poinciana Boulevard Ramp, according to Osceola Transportation officials. The move goes into effect on Monday, May 1, for the plazas, which are both located in Kissimmee.

Rates for the toll plaza and ramp vary based on method of payment. For E-PASS and SunPass holders, the cost is $2.18 for Shingle Creek Plaza and $1.10 for the Poinciana Boulevard Ramp. For those that pay by plate, those rates go up to $4.36 and $2.20.

Officials say the Shingle Creek Mainline Toll Plaza will offer free E-PASS stickers for a limited time while supplies last.

To purchase any passes, visit the E-PASS and SunPass websites.
