Josefa Robayo

Josefa Robayo, beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother went home to be with the Lord on May 3rd, 2023 at the age of 83.

She will be greatly missed by her sister, Matilde, her three children: Ana Dilsa, Alexander and Mauricio. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Brian, Natalie, Nichole, Christian, Alex, Daniel & Alexka, as well as four great-grant children Damon, Skyler, Colton and Koda.

Josefa was born in Bogota, Colombia on March 6th, 1940. She came from very humble beginning where she developed her tenacity and hard-working spirit. Giving up was not in her vocabulary. She was a tireless caregiver caring for her two sisters when she was only a teenager. Then, caring for her three children on her own and later in her life contributing to the care of her grandchildren.

Her presence added a spark of happiness to those around her and her good sense of humor was present wherever she went.

Josefita, as we used to call her lovingly, was a music lover. She particularly enjoyed rhythms from her native Colombia. It was not uncommon to hear her humming or singing to a song.

In September 2010 Josefa accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior, then on September 26th 2010 Josefa was baptized at “Primera Iglesia Bautista Hispana de Oviedo”.

A Celebration of Josefa’s life will be held on Sunday May 7th, 2023 at 10:45 a.m. at Cross Life Church Legacy Hall located at 45 West Broadway Street, Oviedo, FL 32766. This will be followed on Monday May 8th, at 12:00 p.m. by a graveside interment at Queen of Angels Cemetery located at 1901 Queen of Angels Drive, Winter Park, FL 32792.
