A 25-year-old man is facing a second degree murder charge for allegedly killing a mother who recently had moved from Idaho to Orlando.
Kyle Carnley was arrested on Thursday, May 4, on unrelated charges of robbery with a firearm and aggravated assault with a firearm. On Friday, an additional charge of second degree murder with a firearm was levied against Carnley.
The charge is connected to the homicide of 29-year-old Michele Lynn Mossuto, who was killed on April 5, 2023.
On that day, Orange County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to the parking lot of Total Tire at 5292 S Orange Blossom Trail after receiving a call regarding a shooting. Upon arrival, deputies located Mossuto suffering from gunshot wounds. She was transported to a local hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.
Mossuto was the mother of a young boy and was born and raised in northern Idaho. Mossuto’s body was transported to Idaho by her family last month following a GoFundMe established by the family to help with funeral expenses.
Carnley is currently being held at the Orange County Jail with no bond.
