Bridge demo on SR 429 closes stretch of road in Winter Garden

The demolition of a bridge along State Road 429 will close a road that runs underneath it through later this week.

City of Winter Garden officials say that this week, Warrior Road, from Windermere Road (west) to Windermere Road (east) underneath SR 429, will close from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. each day through Friday, May 12. The roadway is being closed for demolition of the bridge that crosses over the road.

Officials are advising motorists to allow more time to travel through the area.

Due to weather and other unforeseen circumstances, work on the strip could be delayed. Motorists are urged to use caution in the construction area for their safety and the safety of the crews present.

The roadway closure is part of the Central Florida Expressway Authority’s project for capacity improvements from Tilden Road to SR 414.
