Multiple residents have reported seeing a black bear roaming around parts of St. Cloud this week.
According to the St. Cloud Police Department, several sightings of a black bear have been reported on the east side of the city.
Police are reminding residents to secure trash bins and pets overnight.
Last month, a black bear was spotted in the area of Yale Street and Formosa Avenue in College Park. The bear was on the loose until it was struck and killed by a car, according to Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officials.
The FFWCC says that black bears are most active in Florida throughout the late winter and spring.
