Joaquina Alvarez

After 97 years, our GOD called our matriarch, Joaquina F. Álvarez, to rest. Our beautiful Mother, was born in March 1926 and died in May 2023. In her wonderful commitment as an irreproachable wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-grandmother, and in the constant service of her family and her Church, she managed to influence her loved ones and her faithful, lifelong friendships.

She was a charming, demanding lady and an example of Love and dedication to everyone with a Christian sensitivity. Fervent to his religious beliefs and moral values. Woman of many creative talents from costume design, cupcakes, desserts, food, and personal care of her yard and flowers. His warm hugs and kisses were the best examples of Love. Always hand in hand with his beloved Love of life, Manuel Álvarez for 66 years, who presided over him in death on November 2013.

She was the fourth of 9 children. He is survived by three sisters, Elisa Figueroa, Herminia Suárez and Sarah Rivera.

She was the mother of four children, survived by Manuel Álvarez, Jr., Sylvia D. Rodríguez, Jaime A. Álvarez. His youngest daughter, Sheila D. Álvarez presided over him in death in January 2022. He is survived by seven grandchildren, Juan Manuel, Jaime Arturo and Sylvia Ingrid Rodríguez, Manuel Ramón, David, Daniel and Melissa Álvarez, nine great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren, 25 nephews and his beloved son-in-law, Johnny Rodriguez.
