A St. Cloud man is facing at up to life in prison after pleading guilty to selling hundreds of grams of methamphetamine and a firearm to an undercover detective last year.
Robert J. Potocnack, 42, pled guilty this week to one count of possession with intent to distribute 50 grams of methamphetamine, and one count of possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime, according to a press release issued by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida.
Court records show that in November 2022, Potocnack sold 224 grams of methamphetamine and a firearm to an undercover detective of the St. Cloud Police Department.
Potocnack is scheduled to be sentenced on August 9. He faces a minimum mandatory sentence of 10 years and up to life in prison for the drug possession offense, as well as a consecutive minimum mandatory sentence of 5 years and up to life for the firearm offense.
