Susan Kay Bracy

Susan K. Bracy, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother and friend, died peacefully at home, on May 16, 2023, with her family, after a yearlong battle with leukemia.

Sue, as she was known by her friends, was an active member of the Alafaya Campus of Discovery Church. She was born in Charlotte, Michigan in 1955 and attended Maple Valley High School, in Vermontville, Michigan. She was on the cheerleading squad and graduated as class Valedictorian, in 1973. After graduation she received a degree from Lansing Business University, and became a paralegal for the Barry County Prosecutors office. Later that year, Sue married her high school sweetheart, Bart Bracy, to whom she has been married for nearly forty-eight years.

Sue was preceded in death by son Joseph, father Lynn and mother Lucile. She is survived by her loving husband Bart, brother Gary Satterlee and wife Joy, son Lucas and wife Kelly, son Wade and wife Julia and four grandchildren. Services will be held at Discovery Church 2504 South Alafaya Trail 32828 on Tuesday May 23 at 3:00 p.m. Services will be preceded by a meet and greet at the church from 1:00 until 3:00, prior to the service.
