After graduating high school and attending college in St. John’s, Newfoundland, she immigrated to the United States in 1949 and settled in Medford, Massachusetts. The family moved to North Carolina in 1972 after Russ retired, and then relocated to Mansfield, Massachusetts in 1974, where they lived for 11 years and welcomed their first grandchildren. Upon moving to Orlando, Florida in 1985, Pat and Russ finally settled down for good and lived in the same house near Winter Park, Florida for the next 37 years. Pat was an active member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Winter Park.
