A Star Wars adventure experience will take its “final voyage” later this year.
On Thursday, May 18, Walt Disney World announced that it will close its Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser attraction on October 1, 2023, with final reservations accepted through September 28 – 30, 2023.
“The final voyage for Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser will take place September 28-30, 2023. We are so proud of all the Cast Members and Imagineers who brought Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser to life and look forward to delivering an excellent experience for Guests during the remaining voyages over the coming months,” reads a statement from the company.
The 2-night experience provided visitors with an immersive Star Wars experience that allowed them to interact with characters, eat Star Wars-themed foods, walk through Star Wars-themed vehicles, and wield lightsabers, among other activities.
The experience included a 2-night stay in a cabin or suite, meals, and entry to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, as well as the rest of Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
According to the park, all reservations through the end of September will be honored. Guests with reservations booked beyond September 30 will be contacted by the park to discuss options and modify plans.
The park says it is temporarily pausing new bookings while it sorts out current reservations. It will reopen reservations on May 26.
