Motorcyclist thrown from vehicle, killed in Orange County

A 29-year-old Orlando man was killed after his motorcycle crashed into a concrete pole and he was thrown from it.

The fatal accident took place near the intersection of Lancaster Road and Lake Ellenor Drive in the early morning hours of Saturday, May 20.

According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol, the man was driving a 2020 Suzuki GSX-R600 westbound on Lancaster Road, approaching the stop sign with Lake Ellenor Drive.

For unknown reasons, the rider failed to stop at the stop sign and continued traveling west into a business parking lot. The rider lost control of the vehicle, struck a concrete pole, and was thrown from his vehicle.

He was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased.
