A 31-year-old motorcyclist was ejected and killed after his vehicle crashed into a pickup truck that turned in front of him on Orange Blossom Trail this weekend.
According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol, the fatal accident took place on Saturday, May 20, at around 1:35 p.m.
A 58-year-old Kissimmee man was driving a 2002 Chevrolet S-10 westbound on Orange Blossom Trail, approaching the intersection with Alexander Street in the left turn lane.
The man attempted to make a left turn to travel southbound on Alexander Street, when his vehicle entered the direct path of a 2021 Suzuki DR-Z400SM that was traveling eastbound on Orange Blossom Trail.
As a result, the right side of the pickup truck struck the front of the motorcycle, causing the rider to be ejected from the vehicle.
The motorcyclist was transported to Osceola Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. The pickup truck driver received minor injuries from the accident.
