Marie Thomas, 88, of Tangelo Park, departed this life on Friday, May 19, 2023. Marie was born on January 1, 1935 in Monticello, FL. She was employed in hotel housekeeping for several years.
Marie was a woman of great wisdom. She dedicated her life to serving her family and church. She instilled love, wisdom, and Christian values for all of her children and family to follow. She was an active member of Tangelo Baptist Church until her health began to decline. She loved her family and showed love to everyone. Marie was and will continue to be an inspiration to us all for living life in an exemplary way. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Marie is survived by her husband, Allen Thomas; son, Dallas McNeal; sisters, Alberta Battles, Ella Logan, Frances Leand, Rose Alexander, Carrie Lattimore; brother, Samuel (Ora Lee) Alexander; and a host other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 2, 2023 from 5-7PM at the church. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023, 11:00 AM at Tangelo Baptist Church, 7001 Ravenna Avenue, Orlando. Interment: Washington Park Cemetery, Orlando.
