Marthy Sparrow Barnes, 57, of Orlando, departed this life on Friday, May 5, 2023. She was born on December 15, 1965 in Perry, Florida to Dorothy McKalvin and Lonzo Sparrow. Professionally, Marthy worked in hotel hosuekeeping for several years.
Marthy dedicated her life to her raising and caring for her beloved family. She enjoyed cooking and getting her nails done. She instilled love, wisdom, and Christian values for all her family to follow. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas H. Barnes, Jr.; 3 children, Sergio (Sanina) Hill, Brooke (Homer Moore) Hill, Kiana Hill; grandchildren, Aundrae III, Aaliyah, Iyana, Sariya, Sergio, Jean, Serenity, Serajai, Saniya, Eriyana, Kaniya, Jamiracle; great grandchildren, Zyaire, Aundre IV; Siblings, Delois, Alonzo Jr., Lillie Bell, Marie, Alonzo, Maryann, Earl, Dorothy, Irene, Dinah Gladys, Luke, Mary M.; Close friend, Lawrence Ellison; and a host of other relatives and many friends.
A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2023, 2:00 PM at Postell’s Mortuary Chapel, Orlando with Pastor Arnold Porter, officiating.
