Orlando man who scammed elderly victims for thousands of dollars wanted by police

Local law enforcement authorities are trying to identify an Orlando man who scammed elderly victims out of thousands of dollars by posing as family members.

According to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office, the man featured in this story is wanted in connection with scamming a Volusia County resident and multiple other residents of Orlando as part of an organized scheme to defraud elderly victims.

In one such incident, a Deltona woman contacted police to report that she was scammed out of several thousand dollars after she received a call from someone she thought was a family member. The female caller told the victim that she was being arrested and needed a large sum of money to get out of jail. The victim complied and sent the money to the female.

Police believe the man featured in this story was behind that call and several others attempting to scam the elderly. They believe the man lives in the Orlando or Orange County area. He has distinct tattoos on his left leg and calf, as shown in the surveillance photos above.

If you have any information about the man’s identity or whereabouts, please contact the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office at 386-248-1777 in reference to case number 23-5911. For anonymous calls, contact the Crime Stoppers of Northeast Florida at 888-277-8477.
