Jean A. Marani (Borage), age 86, of Orlando, FL, passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2023. She was born February 11, 1937 in Hoosick Falls, New York to Stanley and Angela Borage. She was a bookkeeper for a local business and then married the love of her life, William. She was a loving Mother to 2 Children, Secretary at the Troy women’s bowling association for many years, she won several metals in the New York Empire State Games for bowling in the 1980’s and 1990’s.
After her husband retired, they moved to Winter Springs, Florida where Jean loved to entertain, make people laugh and she was always a pleasure to be around. She loved gardening, cooking, swimming, bowling, bird watching and square dancing. Jean was the best mom and grandma. In 2018 they moved to Orlando, Florida.
She is survived by her sister, Marion Cottrell and family; daughter, Julie (Steve) Schmidt; son, William Marani Jr; adopted son, William Moffitt; granddaughter, Megan Schmidt; furry baby (cat), Ginger.
A Memorial will be held for both Jean and her husband, William on Friday, June 30, 2023 from 4pm to 8pm at National Cremation & Burial Society.
