Visitation for Josephine Anne Pontillo, 97, of Orlando, Florida, will be held Wednesday, May 31, 2023, from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m., at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 415 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich.
Prayers will begin Thursday June 1st, at 9:30 a.m. at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, and proceeding to St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 33 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich for 10:00 a.m. mass. Entombment will follow at All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines.
Josephine was born July 20, 1925 in Chicago, and she passed away May 21, 2023 in Orlando. Josephine married Eugene James Pontillo, Jr. on August 2, 1947 and they were happily married for 65 years.
Josephine is lovingly remembered by her 2 daughters, Jean Palmby and RoseAnne Pontillo; her grandchildren, Michael and Brandon Lemmons, Jason and Caitlyn Palmby, and Grant and Gannon Smith; her great grandchildren, Michael, Amber, Megan, Kendal, Dylan, Elly, and Carter Lemmons, and Wyatt and Lilly Palmby; her sister, Margaret Carbonaro, and the rest of her family and friends.
Josephine is preceded in death by her husband, Eugene; parents Vito Carbonaro and Rita Raimondi; brother, John Carbonaro; sister, Rita Ferencak, daughter, Theresa Lemmons; and grandson, Nicholas Lemmons.
