A 39-year-old Orlando man was killed after a vehicle changed lanes in front of his motorcycle and caused him to veer off the road.
At around 11:09 p.m., on Sunday, May 28, a 39-year-old Orlando man was stopped in a 2013 Toyota Corolla in the eastbound, left turn lane of Americana Boulevard, just east of County Road 423/John Young Parkway.
According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol, the driver made a lane change to the inside travel lane of Americana Boulevard and, as a result, moved into the direct path of a 2017 Suzuki GSX-R600 that was traveling eastbound.
The front of the motorcycle collided with the right side of the Corolla and began traveling in an easterly direction onto the eastern shoulder, where the vehicle fell on its right side.
The driver of the Corolla was not injured in the crash.
The motorcyclist, who was also 39 years old and from Orlando, was transported to the Orlando Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased.
