Two individuals riding a motorcycle were taken to the hospital with serious injuries after their vehicle crashed into the back of a pickup truck.
The accident took place on Sunday, May 28, at around 9:10 p.m. at the RaceTrac located at 1296 East International Speedway Boulevard.
According to the DeLand Police Department, a 2015 Dodge Ram was leaving the RaceTrac parking lot to travel eastbound on East International Speedway Boulevard.
As the pickup truck entered the roadway, it entered the direct path of a 2023 Harley Davidson motorcycle that was traveling eastbound in the outside lane of the roadway.
The driver of the motorcycle did not have enough time to stop and drove into the back of the pickup truck as a result.
The motorcyclist and his passenger were both transported to the Halifax Hospital in Daytona.
The driver of the pickup truck was not injured in the crash.
No information has been provided regarding the status of the two individuals riding the motorcycle.
