A motorcyclist was airlifted as a trauma alert to a local hospital after his vehicle was struck by a pickup truck that was struck by another vehicle and spun out of control.
The accident took place on Thursday, June 8, near the intersection of Flightline Boulevard and Biscayne Boulevard.
According to the DeLand Police Department, a black Kia passenger car was traveling southbound on Flightline Boulevard, approaching Biscayne Boulevard, at around 3:09 p.m. The Kia traveled through the stop sign and collided with a black Chevrolet pickup truck.
The impact caused the pickup truck to spin out of control and collide with a motorcycle.
As a result, the motorcyclist was airlifted in critical condition as a trauma alert to Halifax Hospital in Daytona Beach.
The drivers of the pickup truck and car were not injured in the crash.
