The Art and History Museums of Maitland will host a free family art workshop this week.
The workshop will be Wednesday, June 14, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Art and History Museums of Maitland (231 West Packwood Avenue, Maitland).
During the event, children will kick off the summer by creating pom-poms and nature wands. The event is aimed at encouraging children to stay creative and artistically engaged throughout the summer. During the free hands-on arts and crafts workshops, families may drop in at any time to create a new art project every week at their own pace.
After the workshop, you can extend your outing by bringing a bagged lunch and picnicking next door at Quinn Strong Park.
