Two drivers were killed after a vehicle that was driving the wrong direction on a State Road 417 exit ramp crashed head-on into another vehicle.
The fatal accident took place on the State Road 528, southbound exit along SR 417, just past 2 a.m. on Friday, June 16.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 2003 BMW 325CI was traveling northbound on the southbound, SR 528 exit ramp of SR 417.
A 29-year-old Orlando man was driving his 2018 Hyundai Elantra southbound on the same ramp.
As both vehicle began negotiating a curve, the front of the BMW collided head on with the front of the Elantra.
The impact caused the BMW to become fully engulfed in flames. The driver of the BMW, who has not been identified by police, and the Orlando man were both pronounced deceased at the scene.
