The DeLand Police Department is currently investigating a shooting incident after a man was reportedly shot “several times” over the weekend.
Officers responded to reports of a shooting in the area of S Frankfort Avenue and E Voorhis Avenue on Sunday, June 18, at around 2:30 a.m.
During their investigation, officers learned that a male victim was driven to the hospital after he was shot several times.
The victim, a 28-year-old man from Orange City, was listed in stable condition as of this writing.
Authorities did not provide any suspect information and say the investigation is active and ongoing.
