A Latin Grammy-nominated artist who is billed as one of the most exciting international flamenco performers of her generation, will perform in downtown Orlando this week.
Siudy Garrido and her cast will present Bailaora, This is my voice on Thursday, June 22, at 8 p.m. in Steinmetz Hall at the Dr. Phillips Center (445 South Magnolia Avenue). Tickets for the show start at $35.
The show will feature dance-theater showcasing vivid and colorful costumes, award-winning choreographies, music solos and astoundingly rapid percussive footwork. Garrido and company blend contemporary dance influences and traditional dance elements over original flamenco compositions, producing a unique experience for visitors. Music for the show was composed by Juan Parrilla, Manuel Fernandez, and Siudy Garrido.
