Kissimmee woman claims $5 million prize from scratch-off bought in Sanford

A local real estate agent became an instant millionaire after she claimed a $5 million top prize from a scratch-off that she purchased in Seminole County earlier this year.

On Thursday, June 22, the Florida Lottery announced that 41-year-old Mensny Oreste claimed the $5 million top prize from a GOLD RUSH LIMITED scratch-off game at the lottery’s headquarters in Tallahassee.

Oreste chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $3,960,000.

According to lottery officials, Oreste purchased her winning ticket from the Circle K gas station located at 2500 South French Avenue in Sanford. The retailer will receive a $10,000 bonus commission for selling the winning scratch-off ticket.

GOLD RUSH LIMITED is a $20 scratch-off game series that launched in September 2021. The game features 32 top prizes of $5 million, and 100 prizes of $1 million. Additionally, the ticket is filled with more than 33,000 prizes ranging from $1,000 to $100,000. The overall odds of winning the game are 1-in-2.65.
