Jackie Henrietta Biles, 73, of Altamonte Springs, departed this life on Thursday, June 22, 2023. Jackie was born on August 2, 1949 to the late Wyola C. and George Glover in Campobello, SC.
Jackie was educated in the public schools system of Inman, SC and was the first black student to integrate Chapman High School. Soon after completing her formal education, she entered the workforce as a bank teller.
Jackie worked in various positions throughout her life. She had a passion for cooking and worked as the lead chef at a correctional facility. She later became an employee with the Walt Disney Company as a member of the Character Head Department.
Jackie was a woman of great wisdom. She dedicated her life to serving her family and church. Before relocating to Florida, she was a member of New Pilgrim Baptist Church, Campobello, SC. She instilled love, wisdom, and Christian values for all of her family to follow. In her spare time, she enjoyed various forms of artwork, including coloring, quilting and painting. She loved her family and showed love to everyone. Jackie was and will continue to be an inspiration to us all for living life in an exemplary way.
Jackie is survived by her son, Terrance Glover; brother, Thurman Glover; Emma Glover-March; 3 grandchildren, Courtney, Chanse and a special granddaughter who was her devoted, loving caretaker, Jacklyn; and a host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was there for every one of her family members and friends, no matter what the need, she found a way. There is definitely a hole in our hearts that can only be filled with the joy of knowing she is finally at peace.
A visitation will be held on Friday, June 30, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the mortuary.
A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2023, 11:00 a.m. at Postell’s Mortuary Chapel, Orlando with Pastor Phyllis Moore, officiating.
