On June 30, 2023, Anna Maria Schilero, peacefully passed away in the comforting presence of her devoted husband at home. She was 83 years old, and her departure leaves an indescribable void in our lives. Ann is survived by her loving husband, Louis Schilero, with whom she shared over three decades of a blissful marriage. Together, they embraced life’s adventures and eventually settled down in the vibrant state of Florida, where they created countless cherished memories. Ann is also survived by her children Guy, Karen (Joseph), Dana, Nicholas (Amy), Mary, Louis, and Leah and ten grandchildren.
Among her most treasured accomplishments, Ann was a nurturing mother to all her children. As a parent, she possessed a unique gift for teaching through both her actions and captivating storytelling. Her love for our family and friends was boundless, and her quiet strength and free spirit made her a beacon of inspiration to all who knew her.
Ann’s commitment to family extended beyond her immediate kin. She fostered an incredible bond with her extended family, and her marriage to Lou further solidified these connections. We can vividly recall the joyous moments when our entire family would come together on the dance floor, moving to the rhythm of “We Are Family,” celebrating the unbreakable ties that bound us.
Aside from her role as a devoted wife and mother, Ann excelled professionally as a respected leader in the field of accounting. She managed the payable department of a prominent hospital in Philadelphia, displaying her exceptional skills and dedication. After retiring, she, Lou, and her twin sister Mary Ann and husband Tony embarked on a new chapter in Florida, where they enjoyed the delights of working part-time at Disney, adding a touch of magic to their lives.
Ann’s journey began in Philadelphia, where she had a blissful childhood surrounded by her four sisters and brother. Today, they stand strong, honoring her memory together. Her sisters Teresa, Mary Ann (twin), Jean, John and Livia reminisce about the moments they shared, forever cherishing the bond they formed as siblings.
As we bid farewell to our beloved Ann, we will forever carry her legacy in our hearts. Ann’s unwavering love, her teachings, and her unbreakable family spirit will guide us through the challenges of life. Though she is no longer with us, her presence will forever be felt in the stories we tell, and the memories we hold dear.
