Gordon Melvin Barnard, age 89, of Winter Park, Florida passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2023. He was born in Bloomfield, Connecticut on November 2, 1933 to parents, father, Gordon and mother, Marguerite (Lodovaco) Barnard.
Gordon served in the United States Navy and while enlisted; attended Electronic Technician School (U.S.N.T.C.). His primary occupation was a Research Engineer; however he also was a commercial pilot and flight instructor. He was a simple man and enjoyed his hobbies of hunting, fishing, pistol & trap shooting, auto repairing, and an amateur radio DJ (Masonic Lodge). Gordon and Elaine married on January 15, 1966 in Millerton, New York.
Gordon is survived by his wife, Elaine G. Barnard; son, Gordon K. Barnard, nephew, James Barnard, and relatives Linda Barnard, John Barnard, Susan Barnard, Michael Barnard. He preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Elizabeth Mary
A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday at 12 p.m. At the Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions – Winter Park Chapel, which is loacted at 3806 Howell Branch Rd, Winter Park, Florida 32792.
