Clarence John Hopkins, 82, of Miami, FL, passed away on June 21, 2023, in Orlando, FL. He was born on March 22, 1941. Clarence, also known as “Hop,” was a friendly and outgoing individual who had a deep love for people. He always went out of his way to help others and bring happiness to their lives. In his free time, Clarence enjoyed fishing, walking his dogs, cooking, and traveling. He had a passion for bird watching and playing solitaire.
Clarence had a successful career as a Chemist for Orange County Government. He also served as the Vice President for the Black History Committee of Orange County. His dedication and expertise in his field made a positive impact on his community.
Clarence is survived by his beloved wife, Amelia, his daughter Ashley, his son Kevin, and his daughter Stacie, along with five grandchildren from Stacie. He also leaves behind siblings, nephews, and nieces who will cherish his memory. Clarence was preceded in death by his mother, Willie Alma Stacks-Hopkins, his father John Wesley Hopkins, and his brothers Patrick, Antoine, Richard, and J.
