Francisco Pico Irrizary

Francisco Pico Irrizary, 94, of Orlando, passed away on July 8, 2023 at the VA Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on December 13, 1928 to Rafael and Monserate (Irrizary) Pico Bonin in Maricao, Puerto Rico.

Francisco was a Professor of Physics at the Universidad de Puerto Rico Recinto de Mayaquez. On August 23, 1990, he married Waleska Rodriguez (Rodriguez). Francisco and Waleska lived in Orlando, Florida. He was a member of the United States Armed Forces and served honorably in the Army.

Francisco is survived by his loving Spouse, Waleska, his children Jonathan, Zashary, Paco, Mildred, Enid and Ingrid, his grandchildren Lea, Noah, Alex, Nyah, Juan Antonio, Jose Julian, Francisco, Daina, Yedeil, and Jorge Andres, and many other beloved family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Rafael Pico Bonin, Mother, Monserate Irrizary and his siblings.

A visitation will be held July 19th, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at The Church of Latter Day Saints located at 4020 S Bumby Ave in Orlando, Florida 32806.

A service will be held from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the church following the visitation.

We will be leaving for the graveside service promptly at 1:00 p.m. as the graveside Service will follow the services at church at 2:30 p.m. in the Cape Canaveral National Cemetery.

The National Cemetery asks that we please arrive 15 minutes prior to the committal service, which will take place under one of their shelters. The committal service will be 20 minutes long and the cemetery also asks that we leave promptly to allow for the next family.
