Clarissa Joyce Evans

Clarissa Joyce Evans, age 91, of Orlando, Florida passed away on Monday, July 10, 2023. She was born in Linesville, Pennsylvania on January 15, 1932 to parents, Murlin and May Barnard and had 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

Clarissa grew up in Minneola, Florida and graduated from Clermont High School, where she excelled in math and Latin studies and played basketball on the girl’s team.

Clarissa was married 2 weeks out of high school to the “love of her life”, Thomas Franklin Evans. They had 4 sons, Ronald William, Kenneth Paul, Thomas Mark and Stephen Andrew.

Tom and Clarissa started an Electrical contracting business in 1968. State Electric is till family owned and operated today.

Clarissa had a passion for Christ and was very involved in church and family. Her deepest desire was to see all of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren in a relationship with Jesus Christ, and hopes to see all of them in heaven.

Clarissa will be remembered as a “God fearing woman.”

Her funeral services will be held at Westwood Church, 4412 N. Apopka Vineland Road., Orlando, Florida 32818 on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at 10:00am.
