Kenneth Edwin Smith, 76, of Orlando, Florida, passed away on May 6, 2023. He was born on July 20, 1946, in Miami, Florida, to Frank and Louise Smith.

Kenneth, known to his loved ones as Collin, had a deep passion for art, painting, writing, animals, and nature. He found solace and joy in expressing his creativity through various artistic mediums. Collin’s talent and love for painting allowed him to capture the beauty of the world around him, while his writing gave him the opportunity to share his thoughts and experiences with others. He had a green thumb and took great pleasure in tending to his garden, nurturing plants and watching them flourish. Collin also had a deep appreciation for music, finding comfort and inspiration in its melodies.

Collin was a dedicated employee of Animal Kingdom, Disney World, where he worked for many years. His commitment to his work and his love for animals made him an integral part of the team, leaving a lasting impact on both colleagues and visitors alike.

Collin will be remembered for his resilience and courage in the face of Parkinson’s Disease, which he battled with for an extended period. Despite the challenges he faced, Collin remained strong and determined throughout his journey.

In addition to his professional achievements and hobbies, Collin cherished his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Louise Smith. Collin’s memory will forever be treasured by those who were fortunate enough to have known him.

A private memorial service will be held to honor Collin’s life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation in Collin’s memory.

Collin Edwin Smith will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his gentle soul find eternal peace.
