Free backpacks, supplies at Back-to-School events in Pine Hills, Sanford, Ocoee

Multiple cities will host Back to School events this weekend, offering free backpacks, school supplies, and even haircuts.

The Mitchell’s Learning Institute is hosting its Back To School Drive on Saturday, July 22, at 10:30 at the MLI Preschool, which is located at 2612 Pioneer Rd., in Pine Hills, Orlando. The event aims to help families with back-to-school shopping and will include free book bags for Preschool, Pre-K, and Middle school-aged students until back-to-school supplies run out. The West Oaks Mall, which is located at 9401 W. Colonial Drive in Ocoee, will host a Back to School Drive on Saturday, July 22, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. That free event will offer backpacks, school supplies, and will feature organizations with youth and family resources available. The Corey Donaldson Foundation and others will host a Back to School Fun Fest at the House of Christ Ministries (2589 Sanford Avenue) on Saturday, July 22, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. The event will feature free backpacks, school supplies, and free haircut vouchers for Platinum Barbers Lake Mary.
