Carol E. Dexter, 73, passed away on July 13, 2023 in Orlando, Florida at her home with her daughter. Carol was born in Lancaster, PA., on May 19, 1950.
Carol moved to Orlando in the early 1960’s with her mom and stepdad. She would often attend wrestling matches with her brothers, and loved listening and dancing to Elvis Presley.
She worked at Steak n’ Shake as a teenager where she met her husband Philip Dexter. They were married for over forty years until his death in 2010. Carol worked at Moses Pharmacy and Today’s Woman, but her most fulfilling job was a preschool teacher. She would later retire in 2006.
Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Philip; mother, Grace Green; father, Carl White; and stepfather, Charles Green.
Carol is survived by her loving son Richard (Terri) of Orlando; daughter, Shannon of Orlando; and grandson, Dalton of Washington State. Brothers Edward (Nancy) of Orlando, Barry (Anne) Cocoa and Roy (Risa) of Jacksonville, and numerous nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by extended family members and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Robert Bryant Funeral and Cremation Chapel on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Carol will be laid to rest with her husband Philip at Bushnell National Cemetery at a later date.
