Surrounded by her loving family, Joanne M. Martin, our beloved Grammy, of Altamonte Springs, Florida passed away peacefully on July 5, 2023.
Joanne was born in Baltimore City, Maryland to Chris and Mary Lample on January 24, 1941. Joanne earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education at UCF, pursuing her passion of educating children with learning impairments, eventually retiring at Osteen Elementary.
Joanne was a loving mother to her two children and grandchild, always guiding, supporting, and caring for them. She is survived by her daughter Stefani Placa; son, Adolfo Placa; grandson, Edward Placa; and brother Larry Lample.
She is preceded in death by her first husband Alan Martin (2016) and her second husband, Rafael Placa (1993)
