A low-fare airline will soon begin offering a new, nonstop service between Orlando and central Wisconsin for one-way fares as low as $49.

Avelo Airlines announced this week that it will begin offering a nonstop service between Central Wisconsin Airport (CWA) and Orlando International Airport beginning October 5.

According to the airline, the company is the first and only airline offering direct flights to CWA. The route will operate twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays and will utilize Boeing Next-Generation 737 aircraft.

Introductory one-way fares between the airports will start at $49.

CWA is located in Mosinee, between Stevens Point and Wausau in the heart of Wisconsin.

“We are excited to announce exclusive nonstop service to Orlando…With the addition of Wisconsin to Avelo’s nationwide route network, Avelo will now serve half the United States,” said Andrew Levy, Avelo Airlines Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.

Founded in 2021, Avelo has flown nearly three million customers on over 20,000 flights since its inception. Currently, the airline serves 46 destinations across over two dozen states, all with nonstop flights. The company says it allows all of its customers the ability to change or cancel their itineraries with no extra fees.
