DeLand police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the deaths of two homeless individuals this week, one of whom was found at a local Goodwill.

According to the DeLand Police Department, officers were dispatched on Tuesday morning to 122 E. New York Avenue. Upon arrival, they found the body of a 35-year-old man. The man, who was found deceased, was known to local law enforcement officers as a transient.

On Thursday, August 10, police were called to the Goodwill Industries located at 1600 North Woodland Boulevard. Upon arrival, officers found a 48-year-old man who was deceased. That man was also known to police as a local transient.

Law enforcement authorities say that they did not find any signs of foul play at either scene and do not believe that either death was suspicious in nature.
