Eleanor Hansen Eaton, age 97, of Orlando, Florida passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2023. She was born in Portland, Maine on February 8, 1926 to the late Martin & Agnes (Jensen) Hansen.
One day, Charles Eaton spotted this lovely girl working in a tea shop and knew right away he would marry her. They shared 51 years of marriage together, and built a beautiful family. Eleanor doted upon Charles in sickness and in health, always the caregiver, always with a true servant’s heart. But don’t be mistaken, she also told the truth no matter what! Of course, her dear friends and family loved her for it.
Though we miss her very much, we thank God she is free.
Eleanor was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles, and her dear parents.
She is survived by her daughters, Donna Browne and Gail Eaton; grandsons, David (Rachael) Browne, Jr. and Dennis (Wendy) Browne; and great grandchildren, Alyssa, Andrew (Abbey), Patrick and Cailynn Browne. Also, special friends were Vikki Browne and Chris Woodall, and many cousins in many places.
A small graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 24, at Chapel Hill Cemetery, 2420 Harrell Road, Orlando, FL 32817.
