Orlando man arrested for DUI that led to fatal accident

A 24-year-old Orlando man was arrested on multiple felony charges related to driving under the influence after his vehicle crossed into oncoming traffic and caused a fatal accident.

Valerio Sebastian Domingo was arrested on Sunday, August 20, and faces multiple felony charges for his involvement in the fatal accident, which took place on Wednesday, August 17.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident took place at the intersection of Balcome Road and Braxted Drive at around 11:54 p.m. A 41-year-old Orlando woman was traveling northbound in a 2008 Toyota Prius when a 2008 Honda Odyssey that was traveling southbound crossed into her lane.

That Odyssey was being driven by Domingo.

The woman attempted to swerve to avoid the collision, but was unable to, resulting, in the Honda hitting the left side of the Prius.

The woman was transported to Florida Hospital Kissimmee, where she was later pronounced deceased.

Domingo and a passenger in the woman’s car, a 40-year-old Orlando man, were both transported to the Osceola Regional Medical Center. Both individuals sustained serious injuries as a result of the accident.

Domingo faces charges of driving without a license causing death, driving under the influence causing death, and driving under the influence with serious bodily injury. He was booked into the Orange County Jail.
