Orlando Fire Department crews were called to the scene of a vehicle fire near a popular intersection in downtown this week.
On Tuesday, August 22, emergency crews responded to the intersection of Garland Avenue and South Street in downtown Orlando after receiving reports of a car fire.
Crews arrived on the scene within 4 minutes of receiving the call. Upon arrival, firefighters ensured that the occupants of the vehicle had safely exited before they rapidly extinguished the fire.
There were no injuries reported as a result of the incident, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
That fire was extinguished and hazmat crews cleaned up over 100 gallons of fuel and oil that leaked out of the vehicle.
