Woman and girl shot, man killed in Orlando shooting

Orlando police are currently investigating a shooting that they believe wounded a woman and a girl, and resulted in the death of a man.

Orlando Police Department officers responded to the intersection of Poppy Avenue and Botany Court in reference to a shooting at around 8 p.m. on Tuesday, August 29.

Upon arrival, police found two victims, an adult female and a child female, who were suffering from gunshot wounds.

The woman and child were both transported to area hospitals and were in critical condition as of last night.

A short time after the shooting, a male victim with gunshot wounds was dropped off at Orlando Health Central Hospital Emergency Room in Ocoee. That man was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

Police believe the incidents are connected, but have not provided any additional details regarding the case.
