Rosemarie Jean Mazanec (Freeman) was born on April 6th, 1961. Rosemarie attended Our Lady of Lourdes Academy in Miami, FL and graduated from Florida State University in 1983 with a BA in Science of Nursing, and University of Florida in 1999 with a Master of Science in Nursing.
In 1985, Rosemarie met James Michael Freeman at Florida Hospital in Orlando, FL, and married at the beach on September 23rd, 1989. Jim and Rose had two daughters, Jenna and Amanda who were raised in Melbourne and the beachside town of Satellite Beach. Rosemarie adored her daughters and devoted her life to assuring them they are loved entirely.
Rosemarie practiced medicine at Florida Hospital, Health First in Melbourne, Shands UF, was a Clinical Instructor at the University of Central Florida and worked nights at the Sebastian River Medical Center. She earned Sigma Theta Tau honors in her time at the UF Chapter and FSU Chapter and was an active member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN). Rose loved being a nurse and nurse practitioner for more than 30 years.
Rosemarie passed away on August 6th, 2023, in Winter Park, FL. She had many pets she adored in her life, but the most memorable companion was Sage, her Golden Labrador. Besides her intrigue for science, she equally loved the arts and travelling, sharing the sights of the world with her daughters. Her love for the arts and science is passed down to her children. She is survived by her daughters, Jenna Ore and Amanda Freeman, and her sisters, Christine Mazanec, Jeanette Lambert, Melissa Becker, Diane Bauer, and her brother Bill Mazanec, all who love her dearly.
Rosemarie chose cremation and her final resting will be at Queen of Angels Cemetery 1901 Queen of Angels Drive, Winter Park, FL 32792.
