Malcolm Gary Alston

Malcolm Gary Alston, age 67, departed his earthly body in Orlando, Florida, on August 28, 2023.

Malcolm was born on August 28, 1956, in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Edward J. Alston, Sr. and Lolita Williams Alston. He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, the late Edward J. Alston, Jr., Frederick F. R. Alston, and Geoffrey E. Alston. Malcolm graduated from St. Augustine Catholic High School in 1974. He attended the University of New Orleans earning a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. During his career at Lockheed Martin, he completed multiple projects at two Space centers and finished his career reviewing new healthcare construction for the State of Florida. Malcolm was a devoted father to Kayla Alston Stangl, an active member of his community in Orlando, Florida, and a valued friend to many.

Malcolm leaves to cherish his memories his daughter, Kayla, her husband, Nicholas Stangl, granddaughters, Tessa Stangl and Cora Stangl, his daughter’s mother, Marinda Gobert; his sister, Patricia Alston Rochon and a host other loving family and friends.

Family, friends and members of Corpus Christi- Epiphany Catholic Church are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at 10:00 a.m. at Corpus Christi- Epiphany Catholic Church, 2022 St. Bernard Avenue, New Orleans, LA, 70116 on Saturday, September 30, 2023.

A visitation will be at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery and Repast at Corpus Christ Community Resource Center.
