Couple wanted fraudulent purchase of MacBook Pro from Best Buy

Local police are asking the public for help to identify a man and woman wanted in connection with using a victim’s stolen payment information to purchase a MacBook Pro from a Sanford retailer.

According to the Sanford Police Department, the two individuals featured in this story were caught on video surveillance entering the Best Buy located at 1501 Rinehart Road on August 7, 2023.

The female allegedly walked to the register with an employee, while the male joined shortly thereafter.

Using a victim’s personal payment information, the woman purchased a MacBook Pro laptop valued at $2,299. The individuals then left the store together.

Anyone with information that may help authorities identify these individuals is asked to contact the Sanford Police Department at 407-688-5070.
