The City of Apopka and the Diversity Equity and Inclusion Committee will host a Hispanic Heritage Celebration this Saturday at Kit Land Nelson Park.
The celebration will be on Saturday, September 16, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the park, which is located at 10 S. Forest Avenue in Apopka.
The celebration will feature Hispanic music and dancers, arts and crafts, a kids art contest, food, community groups, vendors and more
Children from kindergarten through fifth grade may also compete in an art contest at the event. The contest, whose theme is “Celebrating Hispanic Heritage,” will be judged, with winners announced by 5 p.m. The winner of the contest will win a prize, according to event organizers.
