Peggy W. Mumby

Peggy Ward McDonald Mumby, 90, of Orlando, FL passed away on September 12, 2023 in the company of family and dear friends.

Peggy was born on November 4, 1932 to Thomas William Ward and Emma Robine Faircloth Ward in Chattanooga, TN. She graduated from the University of Florida in 1952, receiving a degree in Education. She married the late Richard P. McDonald in 1953, and they had two children, Richard and Robyn. On August 15, 1959 she married the late Robert Corbin Mumby, and together they had three children, Robert, Jennifer and Rebekah.

Peggy was loved by everyone. She was a dear friend to many, loved to travel, entertain and was very involved in her church. One of her greatest passions was tennis which she played for many years. In her later years, you could find her glued to the TV during the majors watching her favorites play.

Peggy is survived by her children Robyn Zigmond (Michael), Robert Corbin Mumby, Jr. (Enrique), Jennifer Bazante (José), Rebekah Petrelli (John) and her grandchildren Ashleah Zigmond, Zachary Zigmond, María Alejandra Bazante, Isabella Bazante, Justin Petrelli and Ian Petrelli.

A memorial service will be held on September 30, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at The Cathedral Church of St. Luke, 130 N. Magnolia Avenue, Orlando, FL.
