Jean May Barnhart, 93 3/4 years old, left this world peacefully on August 29, 2023, to join her Lord and Savior.
She is survived by her children, Mark, David, Bonnie, and Beth, eight grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Charles E. Barnhart.
Jean was an avid health enthusiast who believed in taking care of her body and mind. She enjoyed participating in various physical activities and always encouraged others to do the same. Jean also had a passion for playing group bridge and cherished the time she spent with her friends, engaging in friendly competition and laughter.
Family was of utmost importance to Jean, and she always made sure to create special moments with her loved ones. Whether it was organizing family gatherings or simply spending quality time together, Jean cherished every opportunity to make lasting memories with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Jean had a zest for life and loved having fun. One of her greatest joys was listening to Engelbert Humperdinck, and her face would light up whenever he sang her favorite song, “Release Me.” She found solace and happiness in his music, and it became a source of comfort throughout her life.
In honor of Jean’s remarkable life, a celebration will be held with her friends and family. It will serve as a time to remember her vibrant spirit, her love for those around her, and the impact she had on all who knew her. Jean’s legacy will live on through the memories shared by those who were fortunate enough to have been a part of her life.
